Bray Leino and McCann Manchester got behind Sport Relief yesterday in very different ways.

McCann Manchester hosted a series of sporting events around the agency and Cheshire, including a five kilometre run around Prestbury and Alderley Edge which took place at lunchtime with digital content operator, Jamie Wallace coming first in just under 25 minutes.

Sports marketing director, Kevin McKay also started off the Sport Relief space hopper marathon race where teams competed by bounced along the course. The winner of this event was the PR and social media team.

McKay commented: “As the official marketing services provider to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games, it was great to get involved with something sporty for charity. I set off on the space hopper challenge at about 10 o’clock this morning and have seen plenty of people bouncing around the course. I’m hoping we’ve raised lots of money for such an important cause.”

Meanwhile, the Bray Leino team dress all in red and baked cakes and lots of other yummy treats with donations being made for the privilege of tasting them, while the agency also chose to impose a ban on emails for the day.

Anyone sending an email would have to pay a £2 fine for each email. It cost Shona McGill, group marketing and PR manager £4 to send over these photos of events.

All clients were informed and the staff were forced to take to the phones and dust down the fax machine in a bid to make it through the day,
