Land Securities to develop new comms strategy for Bridges

Land Securities is set to create a new corporate communications strategy for its Sunderland based shopping centre, following the appointment of Beattie Communications’ northern division.

Beattie Communications has previously been working with Bridges Shopping Centre in Sunderland to deliver it public affairs and corporate communications having already established a relationship through its delivery of consumer media activity for the centre.

Victoria Walker, director of Beattie Communications’ northern division, explained: “The role will involve delivering public affairs, stakeholder engagement as well as public relations. The Beattie team will include former civil servants, marketers and PR specialists to provide the full spectrum of skills on behalf of Land Securities.”

Beattie Communications will now be responsible for raising the profile of the Bridges across regional and national trade media, highlighting its role in the retail hierarchy with new lettings and developments in the centre as well as the role the Bridges has in Sunderland and as part of that its Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
