Gateshead Council has appointed Armadillo to handle the online drive for its Travel Matters initiative.

The appointment will see the agency create a content managed website aimed at school children and teachers and also create its brand identity as it looks to focus on sustainable travel ideas and initiatives.

The concept for the website and support material will be to bring some fun and individuality to the Travel Matters brand while continuing to be informative and content rich.

Lee Skinner, creative director at Armadillo, said, "We have a lot of experience in the travel arena, creating campaigns, websites and even animation, so we are confident of what is required. We want to give the website and the brand a very approachable quality, keeping things fun and simple, to help 'sell' the information to it's audience."
