Two NHS campaign have been handed to Big Communications which will see the agency work on phase two of a Same-Sex hospital accommodation campaign and phase three of the Hand in Hand campaign.

The agency won both campaigns through the COI Regional Framework which it was appointed to in March.

The second phase of the Same-Sex campaign was won following a creative pitch and will aim to reassure the public that same-sex accommodation in hospitals is a priority for hospitals in the East Midlands. It will also look to educate the public of the definitions of same-sex accommodation and to inform them on what to expect when they are admitted.

The campaign runs across regional press, pharmacy bag advertising and other in-hospital material including leaflets, pens, posters and t-shirts.

Big was also responsible for the first phase in July this year.

The agency has also been appointed following a three-way-pitch to produce phase three of the Hand in Hand campaign which breaks in the New Year and will reassure the public that NHS East Midlands takes infection control seriously, and that the public have an important part to play in the fight against infection.

The regional campaign will include a TV ad focusing on education around antibiotic stewardship.
