Asda has launched a new health website by MadeByPi featuring information and advice for customers who want to adopt a healthier lifestyle.

Visitors are encouraged to interact with the Health Matters website, which features articles, monthly polls, podcasts and BMI and nutritional calculators.

Vanessa Hattersley, Asda’s nutritionist, said: "The new Health Matters website is vibrant and engaging and offers our customers access to simple and practical ideas to make healthy living easier.

"The health of our customers and colleagues is really important to Asda and the new site reflects that pledge."

Karen Lewis, account director at MadeByPi, said it is "key" that the site is user-friendly and easy for visitors to interact with.

"Increasing customer engagement has also been a core requirement, so we have built in a flexible framework allowing Asda to keep content fresh and introduced news feeds to encourage repeat customer visits," Lewis said.

Asda will adapt the website, and introduce new content, "in line with changing customer demands".
