Following a pitching process, D8 has been appointed to work with the Celtic Media Festival on its marketing communications and website.

The annual, three-day Festival, works to promote the languages and cultures of the Celtic countries on screen and in broadcasting.

D8's work for the Festival will include a range of printed marketing materials, including a programme and festival brochure, and redeveloping and designing the website.

Jo Stein, festival co-ordinator, said of the appointment: "D8 were recommended to us by more than one person and on meeting James and Mark we immediately felt that working with the organisation would be a good fit. D8 has a lot of experience in working with similar-sized arts organisations and we liked the creative work they had produced for them (sometimes within restricted budgets.)

"Above all, the team were very open, friendly and honest. We look forward to a long and successful working relationship."

Meanwhile, D8 Digital will also be working with Think Pink, the breast cancer awareness charity, to design a website that supports its fundraising activities.

Founded in 2006, the charity works to raise awareness and generate funds towards breast cancer research in Scotland. D8 Digital offered to build a site that links through to the charity's e-commerce facility, and in particular, a scheme that raises funds through sales of a new recipe book.

The book, designed by Stand, has contributions from family and friends of the charity, chefs, TV personalities and celebrities.
