Pulse Home Products has appointed Brazen to the PR account for its Breville brand of electrical appliances.

The brief includes the Antony Worrall Thompson by Breville appliances range and the Breville Hot Cup product.

For the Antony Worrall Thompson range, the Manchester agency will work with Pulse and the TV chef to position the brand as "the professional but easy-to-use choice for home cooks".

Tactics include a VIP media event at Thompson’s home and creating a YouTube channel where the celebrity chef will show how to make classic dishes from chicken pie to bangers and mash.

Brazen launched the Hot Cup alongside other new Breville products to the national consumer media last week at an event in London’s Hospital Club.

The agency's owner, Nina Webb, said: "Since the 80s Breville has been associated with world-class electrical appliances from toastie makers to kettles and irons.

"The Antony Worrall Thompson range and the Hot Cup continue the Breville stamp of excellence and we’re going to have some fun with the brands using a mix of traditional and digital PR techniques.”

Brazen's appointment follows the agency's earlier work for Pulse - it ran a campaign for the client's Nicky Clarke professional haircare range earlier this year.

It will work on the business alongside Cheshire advertising agency Driven.
