Union Square, the new £250m retail destination which is set to open in Aberdeen, has appointed The Big Picture as its advertising agency.

The appointment follows a four-way-pitch and will see the agency tasked with creating a full above-the-line launch campaign while also handle online and digital marketing and events.

Media buying will be handled by Feathers Brooksbank, and events management by Kreate.

Derek Stewart, managing director of The Big Picture, commented: “It’s a huge change for Aberdeen city centre, and we’re enjoying working with the team at Union Square to create a campaign that truly captures the excitement surrounding it.”

The 700,000 sq ft centre, owned by developer Hammerson, will feature 56 stores, 12 restaurants and cafés, a 10-screen Cineworld cinema and 203-bedroom Jurys Inn hotel.
