Manchester agency Bubble is going back to its roots in "creative moving image and sound" according to its new managing director Andy Jackson, who replaces Liz Birkbeck.

Birkbeck, who has long been seen as the agency's figurehead, is leaving to "embark on a new venture".

Along with Jackson, she was one of the founders of the agency when it launched as a creative moving image and sound company in 1998.

Since then, the agency's offer has diversified to include design work and integrated campaigns for clients including Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Wrangler and Channel 4.

Although Bubble insists it is still open to any creative brief, the company says it has now "refocused" its offer back to creative moving image and sound.

According to the agency, this will help it communicate a clear and unified message of its services and mean it can provide a more focused and meticulous response to clients' briefs.

Jackson said: “Liz has been the public face of Bubble in many respects over the past 10 years and helped us grow the company to what we are today.

“We wish her well in her future endeavors. Having said this we are incredibly excited about our new focus, future and potential in this new streamlined form.”
