Creative Sheffield has worked with creatives 93ft and PR agency Lark to devise and promote a brand showcase event that will take place in the city later this month.

Memo Market, 'a celebration of Sheffield must-haves', takes place on 23 and 24 July and will bring a variety of Sheffield-based brands together at Devonshire Green.

Visitors to the market will be able to buy products from local fashion, lifestyle, food, art and music brands which have signed up to showcase their wares. Organisers say they are expecting more than 8,000 visitors.

93ft created the event's brand, which is based on a post-it note and designed to be a reminder to the residents of Sheffield and its visitors of the brands that are a fixture of daily life in the city.

Visuals were crafted by local illustrator Nick Deakin - whose work has been used by Shell, The New York Times and Orange - with direction from 93ft.

The look extends to a small guidebook the size of a post-it note which will lead people around the market.

Sally Clark of Lark PR, which has been tasked with promoting the event, said: "Some of the brands that Memo Market showcases are multi-award winning and nationally recognised independent brands in their own right that have been created by Sheffield entrepreneurs.

"With this in mind, Memo Market is an inspirational event in terms of what shapes a City such as Sheffield and shows what is possible for those thinking of developing a business in whichever genre."
