Visual effects and animation studio, AHD Mi has finished working with Rubber Studios to create a 30 second opening song for Get Set Go on the BBC’s CBeebies.

This latest animation project follows on from Manchester-based AHD Mi’s award winning film earlier this year about an animated robot – AHD 168.

In the Get Set Go clip, which is being shown at 7am every weekday, live action from presenters Sid Sloane and Andy Day shows them “Getting Set” for the day in a 3D animated world.

Tony Hartley-Denton, MD of AHD Mi says: "We have been increasingly tasked with animation projects and this latest brief was particularly enjoyable to work on, allowing us to use advanced technology coupled with imaginative styling.”

Gareth Thatcher, Associate Director and technical specialist added: "During our past projects we have been developing a number of tools that provide us with the capability to run multiple 3D packages on the same shots simultaneously - bridging the gap between the modelling, animation and rendering packages. These custom built tools again proved invaluable for the CBeebies ident which involved multiple artists and a short turn around."

AHD Mi was responsible for the 3D modelling and animation and the clip was directed by Chris Gooch and produced by Jules Pye of Rubber Studios .
