Paul Baker, creative director of WAA is set to leave the agency having only joined at the beginning of the year from McCann Erickson.

It was announced in August last year that he was to join WAA at head of creative three years after he decided to join the agency before a last minute change of heart saw him remain at McCann’s.

Jacqui Lennon, managing director of WAA, commented: "We can confirm that Paul Baker is leaving WAA. Since joining us as creative director in January it has become apparent that he does not share the WAA Board's ambition and vision for growth, and it is therefore appropriate that he has chosen to leave. We are working with Paul to enable his rapid move on. We wish him well in his future endeavours."

On joining the agency, Baker was appointed to WAA’s board, reporting to managing director Jacqui Lennon, and heading up a team including creative directors Steve Eltringham and Henry Becket.
