Chris Sykes, CEO of the Volume Group (pictured), has welcomed the appointment of the former Grey Direct MD Gina Larter to the Berkshire-based agency.

Ex-managing director of Grey Direct, Larter brings a over 21 years of experience in direct marketing and advertising to her new role on the Oracle account.

Larter started her career as a graduate recruit at Ogilvy & Mather Direct working on the American Express account and a (then) small client called Microsoft. She then moved on to Grey Direct where, within four years of joining, she became managing director of the European Headquarters, making headlines in national newspapers after persuading her fellow colleagues to strip off for the industry-renowned “Naked” advert.

She then went on to hold board positions at TEQUILA\ on Canon Europe and was most recently a Board Director at WDMP, where she led the £10.5m Carphone Warehouse and TalkTalk accounts.

Gina Larter comments on her new role: “I am delighted to be joining such a thriving team delivering such breakthrough work. They have such a unique blend of creative energy and technological excellence. It’s exactly what I know a lot of London agencies would kill to have. With 21 in-house developers working closely with creatives like George Boyter, clients are definitely seeing quantifiable value.”

Chris Sykes, CEO of the Volume Group, added: “We enjoy very strong relationships with all our clients. As we see more interest from new clients, we want to make sure we continue to provide the same support our reputation suggests. Gina Larter is allowing us to do that with new clients, while her years of experience are helping to develop our growing Client Services team. Our people are our most valuable asset and Gina will not only be a very valuable addition, but also an important turbo-boost to our development plans.”
