As it reviews its £10m advertising account, Subway is to launch a promotional campaign using cash machines to promote its new meal deal.

The campaign is set to roll out across the West Country to promote the new offer of a free bag of crisps or a cookie and a drink when the consumer presents their Subway branded ATM receipt upon purchasing a Sandwich.

Media buying has been handled by MediaCom Scotland and will feature a ‘how to’ guide to present how the offer can be redeemed.

It expected that 45,000 Subway branded take away receipts will be distributed through cash machines based in close proximity to Subway stores.

Kevin Tilling, board chair for the West Country regional marketing board at Subway, explained: “By highlighting the Subway offer, the adverts drive hungry consumers to Subway stores, and encourage them to save money through buying the meal deal at a time when saving money is a high priority.”

The Subway advertising review is being handled by AAR, and is understood to include incumbent Glasgow agency Frame.
