E.ON visitor centre gets new look by Michon
Creative agency Michon has kitted out E.ON's latest visitor centre in Lockerbie with new design features.
Based at one of the UK's largest dedicated biomass power stations, the visitor centre is used as an educational resource for school children.
Nottingham-based Michon designed bespoke features including a sustainable house, a human turbine to illustrate the physical energy needed to power household items and other displays such as touchscreens featuring interactive quizzes.
The agency had previously worked on five other E.ON visitor centres.
Nina Kuchta, account marketing director at Michon, said: “Our previous experience of E.ON’s visitor centres gave us the knowledge to know what design features would work best.
"With the building’s impressive volted ceilings, we wanted to create that ‘wow’ factor when entering. So, we brought the outside in, by using 6m high trees planted in bespoke display units that complemented the mix of natural and high tech materials.”
