Code Computerlove has launched an online ad starring an animated bear to promote train operator First TransPennine Express's services to Manchester Airport.

The animated ad starts with the age-old question, 'do bears...?' before adding in the next frame "take the train to the plane?" The answer, it says, is "of course they do, it's the natural way to go."

The final frame of the ad, which will appear in banner form, features a bear holding a suitcase and promotes discounts on advanced bookings to Manchester Airport.

Vickie Tennant, e-commerce manager at First TransPennine Express, said: ""Manchester Airport is one of our most important destination stations with nearly 180 train services per day.

"The year long online banner campaign, which will be weighted towards national and regional travel and leisure websites, supports a new ticket that we launched in January which allows customers to pre-book and save up to 65 percent."

First TransPennine Express will also run an email marketing campaign targeting its customer database using the same advert.
