The first ever ‘clean graffiti’ campaign has been staged in Nottingham to promote an upcoming ‘Night’ exhibition by local photographer, Scene.

Created by design agency Michon, the guerrilla marketing, design and brand project aims to promote the event which will take place at the Bridlesmith Gate branch of bookstore Waterstones from 26-30 March.

The campaign visually explores the lesser seen areas of Nottingham after dark using a variety of photographic and time lapse film techniques.

Dave Pettitt, senior art director at Michon, commented, “When Scene came to us with the idea for an exhibition of their work, we immediately saw the potential for guerrilla marketing and, in particular, the use of clean graffiti as it is totally eco-friendly, 100 per cent legal and cheaper than many other forms of advertising. The identity we created really lends itself to this kind of marketing and we are proud to lead the way in original and inventive marketing in the region."
