Inbox creates viral game to promote Coreldraw

To celebrate 20 years of design, software provider Corel is to launch a special edition of its graphics suite CorelDraw and will launch a viral game to promote it.

Balloon Racer has been created by InboxDMG, part of the Digital Marketing Group. Another member of the group, ViralnetDMG will provide the seeding for the game which will be available in ten languages worldwide and will looks to drive downloads and sales of the anniversary edition.

Players are encouraged to pass Balloon Racer on to a friend and once they have completed the send-to-a-friend form are invited to sign up to receive the newsletter.

In between levels a dynamic advert directs the player to a landing page to find out more information on the product and download a free trial.

Corel is also running an international design contest on its website which invites users of Coreldraw to enter their designs to win a variety of software and hardware.
