Business Link teams with Stone Soup for online portal
Business Link Yorkshire has launched an online community portal to complement its existing website, created by design agency Stone Soup.
The Business Link Yorkshire Entrepreneur Channel will provide a support network to members from across the region by allowing start-up businesses to recieve first hand advice from their contemporaries through regular blogs and video diaries.
Business Link has worked with York-based Stone Soup for over three years and the design agency was behind an earlier Business Link blog aimed at young entrepreneurs which launched in 2006.
The new website develops that blog furhter by allowing local business people to create their own profiles and interact and share advice with each other.
Stone Soup will also be sourcing and interviewing entrepreneurs and uploading a video diary of their profiles and experiences. These will be added to the website fortnightly and will also be available on a microsite on YouTube.
Videos of key business events in Yorkshire will also be filmed and made available on the site, including last week's Venturefest Yorkshire.
Tom Sharp, creative director at Stone Soup, said: "We have designed the website so that it is easy to use and will allow subscribers to communicate with each other through its various applications.
"We also hope that it will drive footfall to the main Business Link website, allowing entrepreneurs to gain expert advice and feedback from Business Link
advisers."
