Golley Slater is extending its UK PR network with the opening of a dedicated office in Cambridge.

The announcement comes in response to existing client demand in the region and follows the group’s strategy of putting a dedicated PR office in every economic region of the UK. Clients are drawn both from within the regions and also from organisations that are looking for a national network such as Greggs, Persimmon and the Army.

The new Cambridge office will be fronted by former journalist Becky Lamont.

Martin Long, PR division managing director, commented: “Our network model is based on presence and understanding of each UK regional marketplace. We know that the man in Aberdeen does not think the same way as a woman in Aberystwyth or a teenager in Abingdon. There are different drivers for each regional audience and we make sure we respond to them by having offices in the regions staffed by people who are part of the community. That way we can deliver national PR campaigns tailored and made relevant at a local level.

“Cambridge is a key area for us. Our Digital division already has an office here and we work closely with our digital colleagues.”
