Stockport based defence engineering group WFEL Limited has appointed its integrated marketing brief to Citypress.

Following a three-way-pitch the designer and manufacturer of tactical military bridges has appointed the three-year brief to the Manchester agency to handle its PR, online, design and marketing services.

Martin Currie, director of Citypress, commented: “WFEL has almost 100 years of engineering innovation under its belt. Today, it is still flying the flag for the North West, with its expertise being used to support armed forces in post-conflict scenarios worldwide.

“This is a profitable, high-growth business with a leadership position in the global market. Our role is to help promote the business’ expertise in the defence sector and its financial success to the wider business community.”

Max Houghton, sales and marketing director for WFEL, said: “We’re in an exciting phase of our growth and needed to bring on board a partner with a full range of marketing expertise.

“Citypress demonstrated genuine insight into our business and an exciting, creative approach to representing WFEL and raising our profile.”
