John Bremend, managing director of Media Sales Network (MSN), is to leave the company to join the fundraising team at the world-renowned Christie Hospital.

Bremend joined MSN as a sales executive in 1989 after working in regional press and directories. He was appointed to the board four years later and became managing director in June 2003.

Operating from Talbot Road, Manchester, MSN employs 20 full-time staff and represents many major UK media owners, including Bauer Advertising, AA Publishing, Glam Media and Mobile Media. MSN works across a number of media platform including TV, radio, national press, magazines and outdoor.

Bremend said: “While I have enjoyed my time in media sales and particularly at MSN enormously, I felt that it was time for a change in direction. My move to The Christie as legacy officer gives me the opportunity to use my experience in a new and challenging environment within a world-class charitable organisation”.

Angela Wilkinson, director of Media for MSN, commented: “John has made a great contribution to MSN and been an important part of the company’s success. We wish him well in his new role.

“In recent months we have been developing MSN’s management structure for further growth and have made an appointment to the MSN board which will be announced imminently.”
