Carter set for change of role at Freshwater

Edward Carter, the West Midlands based businessman and executive director of PR company Freshwater is to leave his role to become a non-executive director from June 09.

Carter, a chartered accountant and former Ernst & Young partner will also be appointed as Chairman of the Audit Committee of the board on the same date.

He became a director of Freshwater following the group’s acquisition of West Midlands firm Quantum PR in 2005of which he was a founder.

Steve Howell, chief executive of Freshwater, said: "Edward has made a major contribution to the group since he joined the board as an executive director and we are delighted that he will continue to play a key role as we continue to deliver our strategy.

"We wish Edward well in the other business interests that he intends to pursue in tandem with his directorship at Freshwater."

He will retain his current roles as a non-executive director of private investment firm Grove Industries Limited and opticians Owl Optical Limited.
