Nevis has completed the design of two new whiskies for Adelphi Distillery and the Order of Malta.

Founded circa 1100, the Order of Malta is the world's oldest continuously-operative medical aid service institution, and also the oldest continuously-existing order of chivalry.

Nevis was appointed to design packaging for two special whiskies that will be made available initially to the 12,500 members of the Order of Malta. All the proceeds will go exclusively to its charitable works. The packaging of the Torphichen (blended) and The Grand Master (single malt) reflect the heritage of the Order and depict the Cross of Malta.

The knights and dames of Malta are the successors to the knights who fought in Palestine during the Crusades and cared for the poor and sick in times of adversity. Today it is the second-largest international medical aid and relief organisation not sponsored by a major national government. Its works are directed toward the sick and needy around the world.
