Global Radio’s Galaxy Scotland has announced a new partnership with Flyglobespan.com as Scotland’s latest radio station launches on air.

Flyglobespan, the low-cost Scottish airline, will sponsor weekend mornings on Galaxy Scotland for four months. The campaign will raise the profile and awareness of Flyglobespan’s 22 destinations from Scotland, promoting the company’s complete holiday packages in addition to its low-cost flights.

Galaxy Scotland is the newest addition to the highly successful Galaxy UK network, which includes radio stations in Manchester, Birmingham, Yorkshire and the North East. Galaxy South Coast launches at the end of the month. The expanded Galaxy UK network now reaches 3.68 million listeners every week *.

Global Radio’s Launch Director for Galaxy Scotland Cheryl Levington said:

“Securing such a strong brand partner with local heritage prior to launch demonstrates the power of the Galaxy brand. We are really excited about the commercial opportunities that lie ahead on Galaxy. We will offer commercial opportunities to the Scottish marketplace with a real point of difference that truly connect with our 15 - 34 year audience.”

Flyglobespan’s Sales and marketing manager Judith Duffy commented: “Flyglobespan already has good brand awareness in Scotland, however, we think Galaxy Scotland will help us to reach our younger customer base and highlight the huge range of holiday options that we offer.”
