COSLA is to launch a marketing campaign to promote its local government recruitment sites, created by Edinburgh based agency Marketing Concepts.

The agency was appointed following a three way pitch to provide creative and mediabuying for the recruitment site myjobscotland.gov.uk

The single national recruitment portal will hold all of the local authority jobs in Scotland and allow jobseekers to search for jobs with each of the 32 local authorities, submit applications and register for job alerts via email.

The site, which was designed by Catalyst and implements by StepStone will launch on 5 November with the campaign which will run across press, radio, outdoor and online set to break on the same day.

Gary Cameron, director of Marketing Concepts, said: “The creative will promote the launch of the site but will also reinforce the message that a career in local government is a really positive option. I’m sure that very quickly myjobscotland will become a fixture in the recruitment landscape and an invaluable resource for those seeking a career within local authorities.”

David Kennedy, head of media and communications, said: “This is the first time local government has come together for such a project and is very exciting. Marketing Concepts’ campaign certainly has the “WOW” factor and we are delighted to be working with them, we are sure it will succeed in portraying local government as an exciting and vibrant place to work.”
