Cravendale has announced the appointment of David Cherrie as its new brand manager.

Cherrie has joined from Arla brand Lactofree where he was brand manager and grew the brand to a value of almost £5million. He will now be responsible for implementing Cravendale’s marketing initiative and helping grow the brand.

Cherrie said that he was excited to have joined the brand; “Cravendale has enjoyed fantastic double-digit growth over the last few years, and I want to ensure that growth rate is maintained so that we are not just the second fastest growing grocery brand, but the fastest.”

Cravendale has also recently bolstered its team with the appointment of Louise Allen as assistant brand manager.

Allen, who had previously been on Arla’s Commercial Development Programme, will be responsible for supporting Cherrie, and heading up local initiatives such as Cravendale’s sponsorship of the Leeds Rhinos Community Programme.

Cherrie and Allen report into Louise Barton, group brand manager for Milk, who was responsible for Cravendale’s 2007 relaunch.
