Commercials head Reilly out at IWC

Scottish production company, IWC Media has made David Reilly, its head of commercials and branded content redundant.

Reilly left the company last month, having only joined in August of last year to head up its newly formed Commercials and Branded Content Division.

Reilly was previously managing director of SMG Television Production Facilities before he left to join IWC Media last year. Previous to that he was director of creative industries at Scottish Enterprise.

A spokesperson for IWC Media confirmed Reilly’s redundancy but denied that any other redundancies had taken place within the department.

“David is no longer working at the company, but the commercial department is still operating and continuing to work on business such as VisitScotland commercials.”

They continued to say that managing director Sue Oriel would now oversee the department alongside creative director Hamish Barbour.

It is thought that Reilly may have already launched his own production company, but at the time of going to press was unable to be contacted.
