Founder of employment portals Forth Valley Jobs, Employment Scotland.co.uk, Scotjobs.uk.com and appointments magazine The Hirer is to begin broadcasting on her own online television channel.

Greta Hill-Lyons will begin broadcasting on www.thehirer.tv created by Lanarkshire based technology company, Moviecom TV through out September.

The company will film selected candidates being put through their paces over a months work of challenges.

Over 70 billboards across Scotland will advertise the project as it looks for young hopefuls to apply online to compete in the business venture.

The Hirer is looking for raw talent and offering development along the way and will differ from reality shows such as The Apprentice by not firing candidates each week.

Each of the eight candidates will be coached through the process, encouraged to develop their skills and build on their strengths. Two clear front runners will be identified at the penultimate stage to go head-to-head for the final.

The winner will be unveiled at an exclusive private dinner, which precedes a celebratory ball, held in Edinburgh.

Thousands of applications have already been received which has meant that a second series of The Hirer has been scheduled for next year.
