The Caledonian Brewing Company has appointed Martyn Gray, the former Scottish & Newcastle Pub Enterprises executive to the newly created role of commercial director.

Gray will be tasked, alongside Stephen Crawley Gray, managing director of the Edinburgh based brewer with developing its brands, with both forming the Executive Leadership Team which will be completed following two external appointments which have yet to be announced.

Gray was at Scottish & Newcastle for 18 years working across its commercial, marketing and operations departments.

Previous to its own acquisition by Heineken, Scottish & Newcastle announced that it had acquired The Caledonian Brewing Company outright in April of this year through the purchase of equity owned by its fellow shareholders, Sandy Orr, Donald MacDonald and Denis Critchley-Salmonson.
