SDS appoints Barkers PR division
Skills Development Scotland has appointed the PR division of Barkers to handle its internal communications and media relations, following an invitation to tender in which it is thought at least six agencies applied.
The contract is for an initial three months and will see the agency’s public relations division, led by managing director Christina Kelly, support the client’s team with its media relations, PR, internal communications and stakeholder relations.
Skills Development Scotland is a new body formed by the Government in September of last year following the merging of Learndirect Scotland, Careers Scotland and skills elements of Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands Enterprise to create a more coherent body to deliver careers guidance and learning skills.
