Neil Martin, managing director of Manchester's Creative Lynx, has led a six-strong management buyout from founder Stuart Wilson.

The agency was founded by Wilson in 1986, alongside his brother Simon, and has grown the business to a £3.5m turnover and 40 staff based across two offices. Clients for the firm include United Nations, Manchester Business School and AstraZeneca.

Commenting on the deal, Martin said: "We've got a very strong management team behind this, some of whom have been with Creative Lynx since the very early days. Stuart has established a very solid and respected business that we're all proud of and confident in taking forwards. He'll be staying involved as non-executive chairman so for now it's pretty much business as usual."

Creative Lynx was advised by Adrian Gare, corporate finance director at the Manchester office of Baker Tilly accountants.

Creative Lynx has also recently appointed Angela Milner as account Director, heading up the agency's newly created Financial and Professional services division.
