New Irn Bru campaign focused on celebrating being Scottish

Irn Bru has launched a new film as part of its 'Phenomenal' campaign. Created by The Leith Agency, the one minute commercial is based on a poem by Rudyard Kipling.

‘If’ has been re-written to highlight what it means to be Scottish, aiming to take viewers on a journey through everyday life in Scotland.

Adrian Troy, head of marketing at AG Barr, commented; “The ‘If’ campaign is a change of pace for Irn Bru. It features our trademark irreverence and humour but it’s also moving and instills a real sense of pride and what the means for Scots from all walks of life.”

This is the company’s first new campaign since last summer and will launch on Monday.

The 60 second film was directed by Martin Wedderburn and will also run on a new campaign website, created by Blonde. Burt Greener managed the public relations element of the campaign, which kicked off with a special cinema screening at Glasgow’s Odeon cinema at Pacific Quay. The commercial will only be run on Sentanta Sports for the first six weeks.
