The Raft has appointed one of the founding partners of Pravda Advertising, Phil Howells, as its new creative director.

Howells, who co-founded Pravda four years ago, was introduced to Raft founders Shaun Keefe and Phil Storton by mutual friend and ex-BDH managing director, Roger Ward.

Explaining his move, Howells said: "The guys have a lot of respect and good will from the Manchester advertising community. They are a full service agency with an excellent online heritage. By mixing our skills I know I can make a difference and help grow an already exciting business."

Phil Storton, – ‘This is a fantastic coup for The Raft, Phil has an incredible portfolio of work and will without doubt add significant value to the business and our clients alike. We will be the one to watch over the coming months!’

Gass joined the agency last summer after a period of freelancing in the north west. Prior to that he was the executive creative director at TBWA in Durban.
