Following a four-way competitive pitch, Redpath has been appointed by National Galleries of Scotland.

The £17.6m project will restore the “outstanding heritage asset” and, in tandem, will use the national collection to bring the stories of Scotland – its peoples, histories, places and cultures – to the widest possible audience.

The result will create a gallery that aims to extend the ambitions and role of the National Galleries of Scotland.

Catrin Tilley, director of development and communications for NGS, said of Redpath’s appointment: “We were impressed by their understanding of the complex issues involved in the re-development of such an important national asset – as well as their creative approach to fundraising communications. There’s an evident sympathy there for the role this project will play in the public landscape.”
