Reform Creative has been appointed by Liverpool's Walker Art Gallery to devise its 2008 advertising.

Coming through a chunky ten way pitch, the firm will develop local and regional outdoor and print advertising to raise the Walker Art Gallery's profile during Liverpool's Capital of Culture year.

The campaign's aim is to position the Walker Art Gallery as the principal destination to enjoy fine and decorative art in Liverpool and to provide a foundation for promoting three major exhibitions planned for 2008.

Paul Heaton, creative director at Reform, said: "This is a fabulous time for the creative sector in Liverpool and our brief was to raise awareness of the gallery's core collection of fine art and position it as a must-see for visitors to the city and local residents."

Tracey McGeagh, director of marketing at National Museums Liverpool, added: "We want the Walker to be at the top of everyone's Things To Do list during the capital of culture."
