Fuse Digital has been appointed to launch Bullring TV – a new internet television station for the Birmingham shopping centre.

The Leicester-based agency has already been busy producing the first content for the new station, dreaming up the programme, ‘What’s in your Bag?’ which went live on January 10.

The show sees MTV presenter Carole Machin, flanked by TV crew, talking to shoppers about the bargains they had in their bags while visiting the post-Christmas sales in the 160-plus shops at Bullring. Other content will be added to the new channel over the coming months.

Louise Hamer-Brown, marketing controller at Bullring said: “We decided to launch an online TV channel to communicate the rationale behind our ‘be at the centre’ brand proposition as a call to action to generate footfall and spend.

“The interactive channel allows our visitors the opportunity to actually appear on Bullring TV, whilst also providing a window on life at the centre and the whole Bullring experience for our loyal customer base.”

Bullring attracts footfall of 40million visitors per year, and was built at a cost of over £500million. Bullring TV is accessed through the Browsing Bullring microsite.
