Jam PR and Primo PR - two breakaway agencies from Communique PR (The Drum 08.06.07) - have stepped forward to announce their first clients.

Manchester-based Jam was launched by Jaime Markey, who has confirmed the agency will handle PR for Carl Kammerling International’s three brands – C.K. Tools, Kasp and Avit; The Celtic Herbal Company; Lancashire Tea; and The Cocktail Factory.

Speaking of the agency’s new business drive, Markey said: “Although we\'re a small, boutique style agency, we\'re still in talks with big brands as well as smaller unknowns who are looking to grow.”

Primo PR founders Justin Stevenson and Cheryl Davies, formerly director and group head at Communique’s Manchester office, have also revealed their agency’s first clients. Biloxi Southern Foods, Canal-St.co.uk and Lealta Benefits have all signed up to the new start-up’s services.

The agency, which is based in north Manchester, specialises in food and drink, retail, financial services and benefits, and lifestyle.
