The IPA has sent out a quantitative survey to all its member agencies to gather their views and concerns on environmental issues.

It’s hoped the findings of the research, which is part of the organisation’s commitment to sustainability, will enable the IPA to measure the level of interest and concern on this subject. The IPA has recently established a ‘Sustainability Working Party’, steered by Amanda Phillips – chair of the IPA Direct Marketing Futures Group and CEO of Proximity London.

“Sustainability is the world’s biggest agenda item. The issue of the impact of both our personal and business effects on the environment is both a moral imperative and a commercial opportunity. By garnering opinion on what agencies need in terms of knowledge, skills and resources, we can help them to ready themselves for a sustainable future and to build their green credentials.”

The survey will target employees at all levels within the industry in order to help educate agencies and equip them with the context, knowledge, resources and tools to prepare their own sustainability action plans. The results of the research are expected to be announced at the beginning of September.
