Despite categorically denying that it was to be sold, Leeds-based Poulters has finalised its deal with Wakefield-based in-store marketing specialist, Bezier, as speculated in Adline last month.

Gary McCall, managing director at Poulters, confirmed the deal, saying: “The directors are all very excited about the role that Poulters can play under bezier ownership and have committed themselves long term to making this a success. This is a new phase in Poulters history. We are now able to add bezier’s in-store expertise to our integrated offering. Poulters will continue to be a standalone business and offer its services from our Leeds office.”

Mark Shaw, CEO of bezier, said: “This not only increases our own specialised in-store media creative services but also gives us access to a new through-the-line dimension to our business. This is an extremely exciting time.”

The management structure of Poulters will not change, although Mark Buckle - one of its directors - is leaving the agency to set up his own strategic consultancy.

Bezier works with a number of high profile clients, including Asda, Boots and Coca Cola.
