The Creative cup

Last year’s victorious rabble from GRP have already accepted the winners’ dubious honour of organising this year’s event so... for the first time The Creative Cup is moving to Glasgow.

To... erm... Drum up interest we briefed a handful of ad agencies, inviting them to spoof up an advert for the prestigious competition. A loose brief was set: “The Creative Cup is a five-a-sides football tournament (with plenty of wheezing and puffing). It’s not for the faint-hearted. And some take it more seriously than others... Exercise and creativity don’t always seem to mix well, though. The competition has been growing in popularity over the last couple of years, so this time we’re trying to boost numbers even further. We had 16 teams last year. We want 20 this year.

“The ads should be fun, standout-ish and perhaps poking fun at the industry’s attempts to play football.”

A handful of agencies accepted the challenge, with the best entries published on /creativecup.

So, if you think you would be up for the challenge contact tony@grp5.com or gordon.laing@carnyx.com for more info or to enter a team? GOALS Glasgow West, Tuesday 20 September, 7pm kick-off, £65 per team. (based on 20 teams entering).
