Ex-McCann boss signed by Elmwood
Brian Child, the former chief executive at McCann Erickson, has joined Elmwood as a non-executive director.
Child brings with him a raft of experience, having worked on a number of renowned brands, such as Peugeot, Coca-Cola, Esso, Sony and GUS. Child worked for the advertising giant in Manchester from 1989 until his retirement, in 2002.
Child will be joined on the board by two other new non-executive directors: Sydney-based creative strategist, Richard Watson, and Liberal Democrat Treasury Spokesman in the House of Lords, Lord Newby.
Chairman of Elmwood, Jonathon Sands said of the appointments: “We wanted a real step-change in growth of our business. We felt that we needed more blue chip brains around the table to challenge and mentor the leadership team, including me.”
