Following a competitive pitch 1576bc, the strategic planning and research arm of 1576 Advertising, has been appointed by Kwik-Fit Financial Services to carry out a major strategic analysis of the brand, it's positioning in the marketplace, and to put in place a robust marketing strategy.

Work will begin on the project in January 2005.

Kenneth Fowler, head of 1576bc, said of the appointment: "This is a great project for us. Being the financial arm of such a well-known brand, Kwik-Fit Financial Services face a lot of challenges in an already highly competitive sector. Our task will be to work collaboratively with them to find the best way forward for the long-term health of their business."

Andrew McMillan, marketing manager at Kwik-Fit Financial Services added: "Due to the importance of this project, we sought a company who were able to demonstrate a clear understanding of our needs, the ability to undertake the work involved and real enthusiasm but most importantly the ability to make a real difference to our business. We were very impressed by 1576BC and as such are delighted to appoint them to carry out this strategic review. "

The win follows on the back of a number of recent new business successes for 1576bc, including strategic research projects for both the Scottish Executive and VisitScotland.
