Emap unveils new line-up for kerrang! Radio

Emap has appointed Travis Baxter as managing director of Kerrang! Radio, with a view to stepping up the pace for growth of the local and national radio brand.

Baxter joins from Scottish Radio Holdings, where he has spent two years as a consultant. His new role requires him to oversee the new West Midlands station, the digital output for Kerrang! and the brand’s networked programmes.

Dee Ford, group managing director at Emap Performance, said: \"We aimed high and got our man. We needed a big player with launch experience, as well as a robust track record with national and local radio output.\"

The team heading up the new West Midlands station Kerrang! 105.2 have also been revealed. Lynne Wood, a well known figure in the Midlands media scene, will take the reigns as managing director of the station, while Andrew Jefferies brings his experience as programme controller at a number of UK stations to the role of programme director.

Meanwhile Lisa Bowler has also been recruited to take on the marketing director role. Bowler has vast experience in radio marketing including her position as network marketing manager at Galaxy.
