Veterans Day 2018 marks 100 years since the end of World War I. The day serves as a reminder to celebrate those who have served our country and with 20 million veterans currently living in the United States, there is ample opportunity to do so.

This Veterans Day, USAA, is alerting business leaders to the benefits of hiring veterans, while asking all Americans to share a digital salute to veterans in their lives with hope that all 20 million veterans will feel the power of these collective actions.

Americans are encouraged to follow these simple steps to join in:

-Draw a V with a star for veterans on your hand or personalize the V to include the initials of a loved one or friend who serves, the numbers of a military unit or branch of service.

-Take a picture of your hand, post it to social and add the #HonorThroughAction hashtag.

-Invite your social followers, including 2-3 specific people by name/handle, to share who they are honoring this Veterans Day.

USAA will share video testimonials on its social channels and at USAA.com/veteransday through Nov. 12.

Several celebrities and star athletes have already shown their support, including the NFL's Drew Brees and Larry Fitzgerald, and SEAL Team actors David Boreanaz and Toni Trucks.
