Reddit: 2020 Year in Review by R/GA California

As part of its Year in Review report for 2020, R/GA California helped Reddit produce its first-ever year-end video to highlight some of the heartwarming, hilarious, and creative ways Reddit communities came together this year, through a compilation of user-generated content set to an original song.

In a year marked by life-changing, world-shifting, and often tumultuous events, Reddit users came together in powerful ways that reverberated IRL, taught important lessons, and provided comfort throughout the pandemic. They also weren’t afraid to address some of the bigger issues that shaped 2020 or to show off their creative prowess. Reddit’s Year in Review report revealed the top moments, communities and topics that defined the platform — and the world — in 2020, with the video accompaniment, a first for the platform, serving as the ultimate tribute to what made the year so memorable.

It addresses some of the life-changing, world-shifting, and often tumultuous events, that have shaped 2020 — including the US election, Black Lives Matter and climate change.
