A batch of Hollywood stars and celebrities are telling some questionable facts about moustaches to get the word out about men’s health charity, Movember.

Stephen Fry, David Oyelowo, Stephen Merchant, plus survival star Bear Grylls, fashion expert Tan France and singer Nicole Scherzinger have gotten together to tell tall tales of moustache prowess to champion the upper lip hair and encourage people to get involved in this year’s fundraising campaign.

The charity has created a humorous twist on the traditional public service announcement, explaining why the moustache is so important. ‘Moustache Facts’ features the Fry giving an introduction to the cause before launching into ‘facts’ like stating that a monkey grew a moustache in the 80s and as a result was able to complete a Rubik’s Cube in under a minute. Other exaggerations include Merchant saying that Queen’s success was solely due to Freddie Mercury’s moustache, and Scherzinger stating that the word moustache came from the Anglo-Saxon word for ‘virile badger.’

All celebs encourage men to join history’s iconic hairy upper lips by growing their own to raise funds and awareness for Movember.
