In Verizon’s latest film, Thomas Middleditch teams up with star NFL receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to bring Verizon’s message of network superiority to another moment where cell signals struggle.

The spot, created by McCann NY, introduces a reporter who can’t livestream the press conference because of poor service. What follows is Middleditch offering a helping hand and a series of mismatched sports metaphors that Odell politely yet unsuccessfully corrects.
