Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, the chicken brand born in New Orleans, is celebrating Mardi Gras this year with an invention that makes famed Mardi Gras beads tastier to wear. The brand is making it easy for hungry folks to celebrate Mardi Gras while satisfying any southern-fried chicken cravings with the launch of the Popeyes Mardi Gras Beadbox.

The beads hold any Popeyes meal that comes in a snack box. So, the wearer just straps the box around his or her neck, where the green, gold and purple beads can be seen to fellow revelers, and can munch away while watching the various parades and making their way around New Orleans.

Unfortunately, the special bead boxes won’t be available outside the Crescent City. The exclusive Popeyes Mardi Gras Beads will be available only in New Orleans today, Fat Tuesday, (March 5) outside of the Canal Street Popeyes restaurant. No flashing will be required for purchase.
