Classic greeting cards often don’t strike the right chord when it comes to women’s health milestones. That’s why to support the launch of Allegheny Health Network’s (AHN) new offering – AHN Women – with the promise of caring for “All of her, all of her life,” the network recently partnered with creative agency Doner to roll out a new line of custom greeting cards.

The original collection, written and designed by women, targets female patients at all ages and stages as they achieve and celebrate their health victories – by addressing topics that aren’t typically found in the greeting card aisle, such as fighting cancer, joint replacement, heart health and wellness.

Following an initial run of 40,000 that flew off shelves, more than 350,000 cards are now being distributed for free at Giant Eagle pharmacy locations, in addition to AHN hospital gift shops and Highmark Health corporate office locations.

The new effort is part of a fully-integrated campaign highlighting the stories of real female patients who met for the first time on-camera at an AHN facility and talked openly and honestly – sharing their hopes, their fears, their clinical experiences, and their personal stories ranging from fighting cancer to giving birth.
